Tottenham came from two goals behind to stun Ajax 3-2 to book a date with Liverpool in this year’s Champions League. Ajax were keen to play for a goalless draw following a 1-0 win over the visitors away at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. On the other hand, Tottenham needed at least a goal without conceding to force the tie to extra time.
The Dutch side took complete control of the tie thanks to Matthijs De Ligt and Hakim Ziyech first-half strikes. However, in the second half, Lucas Moura beat Onana three times to complete his hat trick while sending Spurs to the finals.
Despite Ajax having a 1-0 lead from the first leg, the Dutch side started strong, forcing Lloris to action early in the game. Tadic had a go from the corner of the box, but Lloris tipped it away superbly. From the resulting corner, taken by Schone, De Ligt climbed high and headed into the bottom left corner past Lloris.
Tadic got into the box from the left and spotted Ziyech arriving 10 yards away. He fed it back to him, the Moroccan ran onto it first time and stuck a superb left-footed effort into the far corner past Lloris from around 15 yards out.
