Asamoah Gyan Makes Interesting Revelations About Former TeamMate Jordan Henderson

The 34-year-old skipper in an interview with Yaw Ampofo Ankrah on Black Stars Classics on Max TV said he was impressed by Jordan Henderson when he arrived at Sunderland and prophesied that he would be a great player.

Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan says he is not surprised that England midfielder Jordan Henderson is the new leader at Liverpool.

Gyan and Henderson were teammates at Sunderland in the 2010/2011 English Premier League season before the England midfielder departed to Liverpool the following season.

The very first time I met him I knew this guy would be great. If he cannot anymore he stops, he makes sure he gives 100% during games. Outside the field, he is a great guy, he makes sure you are welcomed, makes sure he is there for you, helps you. Sometimes he would come to you and ask if you even need something.

On the field, he is amazing, technically plays with the heart so I am not surprised that he is the captain of Liverpool right now.

Ghanaian skipper, Asamoah Gyan joined Sunderland after impressing in the French Ligue 1 for Stade Rennes to replace Darren Bent who was on his way out of the club.

He became the top marksman for the Black Cats, featuring 36 times in his first season, scoring 11 goals before securing a loan move to Al Ain the following season.
