Asante Kotoko Leaves Ghana For Cote d’Ivoire For San Pedro Make Or Break Tie
Asante Kotoko has left the shores of Ghana for Cote d’Ivoire this afternoon for their CAF Confederation Cup play-off second leg game against FC San-Pedro, to be played on Sunday, November 3 in Abidjan.
Kjetil Zachariassen and his charges arrived at the Kotoko International Airport (KIA) at 9:45 AM having left Kumasi by bus at 5: 45 AM and left KIA at exactly 1 PM.
The Porcupines are on a mission to qualify for the group stage of the continent’s second-tier inter-club competition for the second successive time.
The Kumasi-based club lead the tie with a 1-0 home win in the first leg and are poised for concluding fixture at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan.
The players were in high spirits as they got their luggage from the team bus and headed for the departure lounge amid the show of support from some supporters, workers and users of the airport.
