Cristiano Ronaldo Reacts To Rumours Of Him Returning To Real Madrid

After the return of Zinedine Zidane as the head coach of Real Madrid, there has been wild rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo returning to the Spanish club.

In an interview with DAZN, Ronaldo explained that he hasn’t missed Spain and ruled out his return to Real Madrid as being widespread since the return of Zidane this week. According to Cristiano Ronaldo, he has no regrets about leaving Real Madrid for Juventus and is very happy with how has settled into life in Italy.

Things are as they are, I don't miss Spain or Portugal. Obviously, I left a great club and I left people and friends, but I don't miss the country itself.

The Turin-based club paid 100 million euros to Spanish club Real Madrid to secure Ronaldo’s transfer last summer.

He turned 34 years old in February, but has just over three years to run on his current Juventus contract, which pays him 30 million euros a year.

Ronaldo’s impact in Tuesday night’s win — a stunning hat-trick against Atletico Madrid — earned the Italian champions about 10.5 million euros ($11.8 million) in additional payments for making the last eight of the Champions League.

Juventus last won Europe’s premier club soccer competition in 1996.

The Portuguese scored a hat trick to overturn a two-goal deficit and eliminate Atletico Madrid in the Champions League round of 16.

The odds were stacked against the Bianconeri, who trailed 2-0 from the first leg, but were rampant in front of their own fans as Ronaldo scored all three goals to secure a 3-0 victory to qualify Juventus 3-2 on aggregate.
