DJ Switch Reply Critics Who Said She Doesn’t Deserve Best DJ Of The Year Award
DJ Switch, born Erica Tandoh who came into the limelight after being crowned the winner of Talented Kids 2017 was announced over the weekend as the winner of Best DJ of The Year.
The surprising announcement was made at the 2019 Ghana DJ Awards which was held over the weekend and Ghanaians reacted by saying she doesn’t deserve to win the award, looking at the other nominees in the category.
The 12-year-old DJ beat top and well-known DJs like DJ Mic-Smith, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Sly, DJ Aroma and DJ Black to grasp the coveted award at the AICC and many have criticised organizers of the award for being biased.
It was revealed that a member of the organizers, Mercury Quaye is DJ Switch’s manager and this has led to disagreement between Ghanaians on social media who have raised questions about the awards.
Reacting to those who said she won the award because her manager, Mercury Quaye is the organizer of the Ghana DJ Awards, DJ Switch stated that Mercury Quaye is not necessarily her manager but rather a father and an adviser to all the DJ’s.
According to her, she worked hard and also prayed to God to give her the Best DJ award 2019 and God answered the prayers so her critics should go drink some chilled water and sleep.
“The other nominees are Senior DJs but I think I got the award because of God. I prayed and talk to my God that I want the Best DJ of the Year and my God granted me the wish.”
