‘I Don’t Regret Putting All The VGMAS Awards I Won In A Wheelbarrow’– Kwaw Kese
Kwaw Kese shocked Ghanaians at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards when he appeared at the award ceremony with a wheelbarrow containing plaques of all awards he has previously won at the VGMAs.
The Fante rapper labeled the plaques ‘For Sale’ which attracted much attention of patrons at the Accra International Conference Centre. Well, a fan on Twitter revisited the issue recently and asked Kwaw if he has regretted that action.
The fan asked,
“Do you ever regret putting your VGMA awards in a wheelbarrow for auctioning at a low prize. And if not will you react if they decide not to nominate you next year?
Then Kwaw Kese replied,
‘When the people are banging to the song, that’s my award, I don’t regret anything.’
Kwaw Kese is well known for his hit album Abodam 2007, for which he won five awards at the 2008 edition of the Ghana Music Awards.
