‘If It Becomes Necessary, We’ll Ban Shatta Wale & Stonebwoy’- CEO Of Charterhouse
Following the unprecedented scuffle which occurred between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale at just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, the CEO of Charterhouse, Mrs. Theresa Ayoade has told JoyNews that they could ban the two artistes definitely.
She added that the VGMAs has their own rules and regulations, therefore will soon announced whatever sanction they have for both Shatta wale and Stonebwoy.
“What happened at the last VGMA was rather unfortunate. We unreservedly apologize for that. We had body scanners on the premises to check for weapons and other unwanted items. Nonetheless we may not have been able to scan every single person that came through the gates”.
When asked by the host whether they would punish both Wale and Stonebwoy and take them out of the VGMAS, she said;
“Our music industry is too big and two personalities cannot be the downfall of our industry. The industry existed way before they joined it and will continue to exist . The industry will continue to thrive, VGMA will move to higher level and I believe these two ( shattawalegh & stonebwoyb ) artistes will find a way to make peace. We will do our best to facilitate the process . We have our own rules and regulations pertaining the VGMAS, and we will announce whatever sanction they have for both Shatta wale and Stonebwoy soon.“
The two heavyweights of Dancehall music in Ghana, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale took their rivalry to another level when they clashed on stage at the VGMA amidst brandishing of gun from Stonebwoy and exchanges of blows.
