Ghanaian Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has made a statement that has left people questioning whether he is being truthful or simply joking, as he often does.
In a surprising revelation, Shatta Wale, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah Mensah, claims to identify as bisexual.
This declaration comes at a time when the LGBTQ community has been a topic of intense discussion, with Parliament preparing to pass an anti-LGBTQ bill into law in the coming weeks.
During a parliamentary session, the Minister for Communication, Honorable Ursula Owusu, became visibly upset when she was referred to as a practitioner of LGBTQ by another member of Parliament, Honorable Murtala Mohammed.
Shatta Wale, known for his hit song “Ayoo,” took to the newly established social media platform Threads to assert his identity as bisexual. In a post, he wrote, “Pls for this place I am Bi-sexual”.
Shortly after his post, his alleged former girlfriend, Efia Odo, commented, expressing that this is something she has been discussing previously.
