Edinson Cavani sustained an injury during Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 home game against Bordeaux on Saturday and is now unlikely to play when the team visit Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
Already, PSG without Neymar who has been ruled out for atleast 10 weeks. PSG manager, Thomas Tuchel has expressed worry ahead of their crucial Champions league game against Manchester United.
Tuchel told TF1’s Telefoot on Sunday morning:
There is no good news this morning. He has undergone exams and there will be more tests here at the training centre. My feeling is that it will be very difficult for him to feature in Manchester. I still have a little hope, but the first tests were not good.
However, there was some good news for PSG as midfielder Marco Verratti returned to the line-up after recovering from an ankle injury. He played almost an hour before being substituted by Leandro Paredes who is expected to start against Ole Gunnar’s resurgent United side.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are on an 11 game unbeaten run in all competitions since Ole Gunnar took over from Jose Mourinho in December.
