Former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi’s Lifetime Ban Reduced To 12 Years

According to reports sighted on multiple media outlets, the ban was reduced following a successful appeal by the former Ghana Football Association (GFA) boss.

Kwesi Nyantakyi is also a Ghanaian banker and lawyer.

It has been reported that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has reduced Kwesi the former GFA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi’s life ban from football activities to 12 years.

Former GFA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi was banned by FIFA banned for life for his involvement in alleged acts of bribery and corruption which are against the written rules of FIFA.

Kwesi Nyantakyi was also fined 500,000 Swiss Francs or the equivalent of £390,000 after he was videoed in an undercover investigation carried out by Anas Aremeyaw Anas taking $65,000 (£48,000) from an undercover reporter who posed as a football investor.
