Nigerian rapper, Jude Abaga, popularly known as M.I, and former Nigerian Eagles and Chelsea FC player, John Mikel Obi, have been appointed as aides to Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State.
The governor’s spokesperson, Gyang Bere, made the announcement in a statement on Thursday. M.I Abaga has been honored with the appointment as the Adviser to the Governor on Entertainment and Creativity, while Mikel Obi will serve as the Adviser on Sports.
In addition to their appointments, several other individuals have been approved for various offices. Some of them include Hart Bankat as the general manager of Jos Metropolitan Development Board, Christopher Sabo Yilgwan as the CMD of Plateau Specialist Hospital, and Mathew Dawap as the general manager of Plateau Mineral Development Company LTD, among others.
Furthermore, Governor Mutfwang has sent a list of 16 commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly in Jos on Thursday. These nominees were carefully selected from each local government area of the state to serve in different capacities.
