The Frenchman provided assists for two of Bruno Fernandes’ three goals, set up Mason Greenwood’s beautiful strike before teeing up Fred to score United’s fifth at Old Trafford.
Not only did Pogba surpass his total number of Premier League assists of last season, three, but he is also well on his way to surpassing his best assists total in a campaign when he provided 10 in 2017/18.
His 4 assists also mean Pogba is the first player in the Premier League to record 4 assists on the opening day of the Premier League. His heroic performance has been lauded by the Red Devil fans.

Meanwhile, sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano has addressed the speculation surrounding the Frenchman’s future at Old Trafford after his impressive performance against Leeds United.
According to him, Manchester United have always been confident to keep Paul Pogba this summer. He tweeted that talks are ongoing since weeks with his agent, Mino Raiola to extend the contract.
