The Ghana Police Service has announced, Shatta Wale has been arrested.
A brief statement from the Ghana Police force on social media channels stated that the reggae dancehall performer has been detained for the purpose of a staged shooting that allegedly claimed his life.
Shatta Wale made an eerie scene on the news yesterday as he with his accomplices informed Ghanaians that he was taken into a hospital after allegedly being attacked by some gunmen in East Legon.

The police then issued a statement to the same effect and declared they were seeking Shatta Wale. He later posted that he will turn himself in for arrest and as announced by the police, Shatta Wale is now in the grip of the police.
The authorities have also made public the arrests of Nana Dope and Gangee in connection with the propagation of false information regarding the alleged attack and shooting on Shatta Wale.
In September, Jesus Ahuofe famously stated that Shatta Wale would be shot and killed on the 18th of October, a day after his birthday, just like Reggae music legend Lucky Dube was shot dead by gunmen on the 18th of October 2007.
The man of God says that there is too much hatred around Shatta Wale, and that this will be the motivation behind the attack. Jesus Ahuofe suggested that Shatta Wale should seek out a man of God who can intercede on his behalf in order to avoid the death prophecy.
However, Shatta Wale as usual downplayed the prophecy and claimed Jesus Ahuofe was a big liar. However, the dancehall music star staged a shooting incident yesterday and went into hiding after Ghana Police said he was wanted.
