‘Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy Must Not Stop Their Beef Despite Being Friends Now’ – Ex-Doe

Veteran Ghanaian rapper, Ex-Doe has advised Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale not to stop their bitter lyrical war despite being patched up in a historic peace conference by Nana Ama Anamoah and Dr. Kofi Abban.

Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have been at each other’s neck for ages but this year, it reached a new height at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards when the two clashed amidst wielding of gun and a free for all fight on live TV.

The incident hit major local and international headlines after which Charterhouse banned them from participating in future VGMAs, whilst stripping them of all awards they won on the evening and asking them to return the plaques they walked away with.

In the best interest of Ghana music and their fans, the pair called a truce during a joint press conference at the Mariot Hotel in Accra on June 4.

However, Ex-Doe who is said to have started the first beef in Hiplife, told the pair to continue beefing, provided it won’t get physical.

“When you are young you do things you don’t think about. I have come out several times to condemn beefing among artists. I knew where it got me and I knew it wasn’t what I wanted,” he said on Citi TV’s Saturday Live.

He added that “there are people who even tell me that I wasn’t smart to have ended it because it brought popularity and money. I am grown and realized it wasn’t right so I have apologized to Chicago and Rockstone.”

“We can have fun with the diss songs but they must be creative. Don’t go direct because if that’s all there is to it anybody could do it.”
