The High Court in Accra has ruled in favor of First Atlantic Bank in a case brought against them by former National Service Person, Deborah Sayram Adablah, who had accused the bank and its former Chief Finance Officer, Ernest Kwasi Nimako, of sexual harassment.
Presided over by Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu, the court not only dismissed the case but also ordered Adablah to pay GHc6,000 as compensation to the bank. Initially, the bank’s lawyers had requested GHc50,000 in compensation, while Adablah offered GHc5,000.
Furthermore, the court ruled in favor of the bank by striking its name out of the case on a motion. Subsequently, Adablah’s lawyers filed a motion to set aside the court’s ruling for execution and to issue an order for the preservation of a disputed vehicle.
