Following the trending Medikal-Strongman beef which has captivated Ghanaians and seems to have injected a new lease of life into the music industry, Ghanaian rapper Kojo Cue is rather of the opinion that diss songs and beef are not necessary.
The young rapper, who is often considered one of the rappers to put Ghana on the map. says in as much as diss songs excites Hiphop fans, it rather tears musicians apart in a long run and wants the Medikal, Strongman feud to be stopped immediately.
The rapper, born Linford Kennedy Amankwaa said GH rappers should encourage more collaborations to take their craft to a different level rather doing beefs.
Kojo Cue tweeted;
“I’m always torn when it comes to rap beef in Ghana because, on one hand, I know what unity and concentration on a singular vision can do for us … on the other hand, rap is a contact sport and if you get hit, you are required to hit back … The fans enjoy it though. I’d much rather we did collaborations instead of diss songs. We could go hard on songs together and let the fans hype over who killed who whilst making hit songs and monetizing the content. Nobody wins when the family feuds, except if the family monetizes the feud.”
